Keswick residents find themselves in the serene countryside of Central Virginia that Thomas Jefferson described as "the Eden of the United States". Mr. Jefferson's influence and architectural achievements live on at his beloved home, Monticello, and his "academic village" at the University of Virginia, both minutes from the Estate.
American history buffs can also tour the homes of two other founding fathers, James Madison's, Montpelier and James Monroe's, Ash Lawn-Highland, located nearby.
Charlottesville is also a progressive, vibrant community offering visitors fine art museums, theater, symphony and operatic productions, numerous equestrian events, and the nationally recognized Virginia Film Festival. In addition, guests can enjoy touring the area's many award-winning vineyards and fine antique shops.
But perhaps the most noted characteristic of the area is its stunning natural beauty and magnificent surroundings.
Known for its magnificent horse farms Keswick is home to endless thoroughbred breeds that originated hundreds of years ago. Charlottesville's horse farms are splendid especially in Keswick.
Many of Keswick horse farms were designed and built by Thomas Jefferson. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark both owned horse farms in Charlottesville. Charlottesville's two foxhunts are the Farmington and Keswick Hunt founded in 1899.

Titles >Liens Against the Title
Occasionally homeowners who are trying to sell their home are surprised to learn that their title is encumbered by a lien. There are several types of liens; the most common are mechanic's or contractor's liens.
The lien (or debt) must be paid off in order to be cleared. If the owner prefers to challenge the lien, he can release it by posting a bond, pending adjudication. In some types of liens, a title search may disclose claims against the property by an ex-spouse or long-ago heir of a former owner. A simple "quitclaim" deed may be used in these cases. By signing the deed, the person involved signs over whatever rights he or she might have, without laying any claim to the property.
Most real estate transactions involve at least some minor unresolved issues on the part of either the buyer or the seller. This is where an experienced real estate agent can provide solutions to resolve the issues and conclude the sale.
